Mission Statement
The ImagesConnect Foundation envisions breaking stereotypes of individuals and groups and promoting social change and social cohesion. The focus lies in particular on young people and the (inter) national youth culture in a strongly changing global society. It seeks its objective by the use of the impact of photography and moving images, trying to reach as many people as possible, groups and organizations to bring about a shift in thinking. Our projects, in particular photo reportages, documentaries, exhibitions and platforms may form part of more comprehensive charitable projects, mostly in conjunction with partners.
Foundation
ImagesConnect was founded on 19 July 2010. The Foundation is listed in the trade register of the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce under number 50437429. The Foundation communicates clear and professionally about the way funds are raised, the utilization of resources and expected results. The policy plan and annual report of the foundation as well as our statutes are retrievable. The foundation is exempt from tax for the sales tax and corporation tax. The Foundation is earmarked as ANBI, a public benefit (non-profit) organization.
Board
The Foundation has an independent unsalaried board of three persons supervising and controlling the organization in accordance with statutory requirements. Members of the Board of the foundation are:
Frank Tang (1963) - chairman (author, historian)
Marco Fuchs (1970) - secretary (director, producer)
Winston Keyzer (1958) treasurer (graphic designer)
Management & team
The direction of ImagesConnect is formed by artistic manager Henny Boogert (1963) and business and production manager Bastiaan Piloo (1968). For the realization of its projects ImageConnect works with freelance professionals. All are employed by conviction at a rate lower than the market rate to ensure producing excellent quality for lower cost. The Foundation also works with a pool of volunteers and students.
